Career Description

This position is responsible for operating machinery and could include ongoing production flow while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.


Tasks

1. Train and develop workforce, coordinates training, trains, and monitors trainees to assure quality of work and progression towards qualifications. 2. Observe behavior of Trainees while performing job. 3. Must be able to work and accomplish job tasks without constant supervision along with the ability to improve Team Member morale. 4. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned. 5. Trainer will have 8-13 Trainees qualifying at one time but will depend on the turnover rate and complexity of the process. 6. Physical requirements required to stand, and or walk, bend and or stoop for long periods. 7. Lift boxes or equipment over 40 pounds. 8. The flexibility to adapt to changing work priorities. 9. Equipment required to use knives, scissors, push carts, scales, and production packaging equipment. 10. Math Position requires using addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. 11. Computer skills requires using Microsoft Excel, word and specialized software or the ability to learn the software.


Requirements

1. Applicant must have at least eight (8) months continuous work history with one employer within the past 24 months. 2. Experience Familiar with poultry production operations, organization policies, procedures and processes. 3. Communication skills Requires reading, writing and communicating in English. Bi-lingual preferred. 4. Recruitment will be from the following Alabama Counties Marshall, Dekalb, Etowah and Blount.
