Career Description

Summary:
This role supports the Cincinnati based Demand Planning department for both Prepared Foods and Poultry businesses. It is responsible for a variety of activities including demand forecast analytics, special project support, customer collaboration support and Sales & Operations Planning reporting and process adherence. This position will prepare the individual for incremental responsibility as a planner within the broader planning department.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Support a Demand Planning Manager's activities to include but not limited to, rolling 27-month item level demand plans, monitor promotions, events, and market conditions to ensure accurate demand plans, support Consensus activities from a demand/forecasting perspective on a monthly basis, and monitor and communicate reports on forecast accuracy to Business Unit and Supply Chain organizations, while driving continuous improvement. Other responsibilities to include: Generate a variety of demand planning reports and provide analysis for multiple S&OP meetings each month; Monitor S&OP process adherence and identify continuous improvement opportunities; Support monthly Customer Collaboration meetings; Generate timely ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed; Support special projects and demand planning initiatives

Qualifications:

Education: Associates degree or equivalent experience in supply chain, industrial engineering, logistics, finance, or business administration.

Experience: 0-2 years of experience in analyzing planning, scheduling, or other supply chain process is required

Communication Skills: Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills are necessary.

Computer Skills: High proficiency using PC based applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access) is required. Report Writer experience (Targit, Tableau, or similar) is a plus. Forecasting system experience (Manugistics, JDA, Logility) is a plus.

Supervisory: N/A

Travel: limited (occasional trips to other Tyson campuses or for training, user conferences, etc.
