Career Description

This position is primarily responsible for leveraging database and programming capabilities to develop and implement customized category solutions across key strategic accounts. This position is also responsible for the timely and accurate production, maintenance, and delivery of planograms to the customer.

Responsibilities for this role include: Develops and delivers customized category content through collaboration with POG Manager and Category Leadership; Builds project management plan for each retailer project; Forecasts and plans workload requirements for successful project completion; Ensures all items in product library are valid for each retailer project; Refreshes and updates sales performance data for each retailer project; Builds multiple versions of planograms based on pre-established assortment, clustering alternative, fixture variations, and merchandising guidelines; Reviews and validates all planograms for adherence to guidelines and conformity to retailer standards; Applies revisions as needed; Uploads and successfully delivers completed planograms to retailer; Processes internal reporting and planogram metrics; Assists all TM’s ability in developing PG scripts that ensure progressive efficiency for the team; Manages an Analyst TM to assist in completing above items.

Education: BA degree in related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience: 3+ years of experience in Space Management or Category Management at a manufacturer or retailer. Strong retail background with CPG and/or Food industry experience a plus.

Computer Skills: Mastery skillset in advanced database systems and programming language (e.g., SQL, C#, VBScript, etc.). Advanced skills in PowerPoint and Excel. Mastery skillset and user of current industry Space Management software (e.g., JDA Space Planning and CKB, Apollo, etc.).

Communication Skills:Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.

Special Skills: Experience analyzing data and providing actionable insights utilizing retailer data sources, panel, and syndicated data (IRI/Nielsen). Strong foundational skills managing multiple customers and projects with demonstrated ability to show initiative, tenacity, problem-solving, and ability to drive strategy to execution.

Travel: Limited, but as needed. Estimated 5-10%, to include national meetings, local customer division meetings, store visits, etc.
