Summary: The Supply Planning Analyst position supports Supply Planning for the Tyson Brands Retail and Foodservice business. It is responsible for a variety of activities including deployment planning, project analysis, materials follow-up and reconciliation, and supply planning support. This position will prepare the individual for incremental responsibility as a planner within the broader planning department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Supports analytical and project-based efforts across many businesses for senior management in APS, on an ad hoc basis. Builds, reviews, tracks and adjusts intra-company shipments (loads) using JDA or other planning tools. Works proactively with Sales, Marketing, Demand Management and Supply Chain personnel to avoid order shortages and excess inventory Coordinates planning and execution activities with the Supply Planner. Liaise with customer service to communicate potential customer service issues/risks, provide projected availability dates for out-of-stock products, and assist in post-mortem analysis of customer service shortfalls. Liaise with transportation and warehousing groups as well as personnel at 3PL to resolve issues with intra-company shipment required ship/arrival dates (including resolution of near-term warehousing capacity issues). Develop functional understanding of warehousing capacity, procedures, and inbound/outbound planning processes in order to drive/enable warehouse capacity management and adherence to ship/arrival required dates. Work with the Supply Planner and Supply Planning modeler to identify potential changes to the JDA model.


Education: Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Finance, or Business
Administration is required

Experience: Some experience analyzing operating activities or processes is required

Skills: Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access are required.

Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills are necessary. Must be detail oriented and capable of producing high quality information on a sustainable basis. Strong organization skills and ability to effectively multi-task in a dynamic and fast-paced environment is required. Experience working with key supply chain topics like demand, inventory, distribution, and production is strongly preferred.
