Career Description

SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for completing compensation market surveys requests by third party consultants, reviewing and editing job descriptions, conducting job evaluations, and compiling market data to provide competitive paygrades and ranges for management and management support jobs. This positions is also responsible for administration of the compensation policies and programs; preparing various wage and salary reports; examining compensation practices and compiling relevant statistics; conducting audits and analyzing positions in order to identify potential policy problems. Other responsibilities include preparing spreadsheets; running reports and data entry using SAP, Access and Excel; calculating general and 'what-if' adjustments to assist managers in wage and salary administration, and auditing and ensuring policy adherence. Additional duties may include attending annual compensation survey meetings, coordinating various administrative duties and other responsibilities as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.

Experience: 3 plus year's experience.

Computer Skills: Requires standard computer skills; must be proficient in SAP HR. Communication Skills: Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal; and ability to negotiate/consult with all levels of management in regard to pay grades and pay issues.

Special Skills: Requires discretion and the ability to use judgment in extremely sensitive and confidential situations. Travel: 1 to 5 trips per year.
