SUMMARY: The primary responsibility for the Director of Enterprise Solution Architecture is to lead a team of enterprise solution/business architects. This team is accountable to proactively and holistically lead and support Enterprise Architecture (EA) activities for creating deliverables that guide the developing direction for managing a portfolio of solutions in response to disruptive forces, and driving achieving targeted business outcomes. Solutions include systems (including applications, technologies, processes and information), shared infrastructure services and shared application services. The leader in this role will partner closely with other architecture functions (Technical Architecture, Information Architecture, etc.) as well as with other key IT and business stakeholders / executives. This role is highly strategic and critical to the continued development and advancement of the Tyson Foods IT landscape to ensure current and future business capabilities are enabled through the IT portfolio of solutions. Disciplines will include, but not be limited to the following subject/domains: cloud (AWS, Google, Azure), integration, mobility, IoT, web, S4, Hana, etc. Other responsibilities will include: Coach, mentor and collaborate with enterprise solution architects and peers to develop an enterprise architecture that enables and drives new business capabilities and operating models. Lead the team responsible with designing the governance, assurance and standards activities associated with ensuring enterprise solution architecture compliance. Developing the required metrics needed to measure progress and provide regular updates to IT leadership and other key stakeholders. Understand business drivers and business capabilities (future and current state), and determine corresponding enterprise system designs and change requirements to drive the organization's targeted business outcomes. Identify the organizational impact (for example, on skills, processes, structures and culture) and financial impact of the enterprise solution architecture. Be a trusted advisor and leader to the overall IT architecture leader as well as to key business and IT stakeholders providing advice, guidance and insights.


EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree required; computer science, mathematics, operations management, or a related data science field

EXPERIENCE: 12+ plus years of experience in IT, some of it in a similar role with demonstrated traceable, measurable, impactful results.

COMPUTER SKILLS: Advanced computer skills; with an understanding and previous experience in solution design, capability mapping and IT governance. In depth knowledge of core enterprise application frameworks and solutions such as EAP, financials, transportation, logistics, manufacturing, and execution systems are key for this role.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact, influence and work directly with IT and business executives

SUPERVISORY: Will be responsible for supervising a group of Team Members who perform similar duties; Proven architecture experience in developing application roadmaps, business offerings. Ability to establish and articulate a vision, set goals, develop and execute strategies, and track and measure results; Strong technical leadership in cross-functional team environments; Ability to structure ambiguous business data into meaningful, insightful information
