SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for developing, maintaining, implementing and training others on the Tyson Maintenance Reliability Process. He/she will work at corporate offices as well as in plants with maintenance team members anda broad cross-section of management at all levels. The maintenance coordinator will work with a partnership focus to ensure that maintenance related Tyson standards (PSM, Boiler Operating Procedures, etc.) and initiatives (Purchasing VMR, Oil Analysis, IR Scanning, etc.) are properly developed, maintained, disseminated and monitored. Critical functions include but are not limited to: maintenance and reliability process training at all levels of the company; training and implementation of Continuous Improvement tools; ongoing maintenance process enhancement as well as new process development and implementation; development and implementation of "best practice" strategies and standards for asset maintenance and reliability. The maintenance coordinator must be able to understand, support and train maintenance processes related to indirect inventory optimization. This position will collaborate with project management to establish maintenance organizations and/or maintenance strategies for select capital projects following a defined project plan. The maintenance coordinator will support the Reliability Engineers with specific assignments.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (engineering, chemistry, biology, animal science, computer science, etc.) or equivalent experience in maintenance, reliability, or plant engineering.

Experience: 2 plus years’ relative experience. Must have a basic understanding of engineering/technical principles such as materials, chemistry, electrical/PLC/automation, hydraulics, pneumatics, refrigeration, andmechanical components such as bearings, motors, lubricants, belts, etc. Other preferred experience: prior work with CMMS systems; familiarity with maintenance and/or shutdown/turnaround planning; industrial maintenance; familiarity with preventive, predictive and condition based maintenance; experience introducing and sustaining major change initiatives.

Computer Skills: Intermediate PC skills with ability to become an advanced user of Excel and SAP-PM CMMS system.

Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communications. Experience with technical writing is a plus. Must be comfortable training and presenting in front of groups in a classroom environment. Experience with change management and facilitation is a plus.

Supervisory: This position will have no direct reports

Special Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others. Must be able to drive improvements with minimal direction; effective time management skills; strong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of multiple crafts.
