Summary: This position will be a member of the Continuous Improvement Team supporting the Tyson Distribution Business Unit. This position will develop, implement, and maintain engineered Labor Standards within Tyson Distribution business unit including complexes/plants and distribution centers. This position works within a team environment and is also responsible for ensuring that communication and promotion of the labor standards and opportunities for improvement are understood across BU leadership. Responsibilities include: develop and implement engineered labor standards within Warehouse Labor Management system; audit and maintain standards as process changes occur; communicate and initiate productivity improvement activities; and provide technical guidance and support to operations to maintain optimal performance. This position will be part of a team responsible for managing labor standards at all facilities within Tyson Distribution Business Unit.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: BS in Industrial Engineering, or equivalent technical degree preferred.
Experience: 5+ years' experience in engineering or operations; experience in implementing engineered labor standards, JDA/Red Prairie,Continuous Improvement, Warehouse Management Systems or Labor Management Systems preferred.
Computer Skills: Standard computer skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office tools required; ability to create written documentation; familiarity with JDA Warehouse Labor Management systems a plus.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Special Skills: Excellent leadership, consultative and interpersonal skills, demonstrated organizational skills and detailed, results-oriented focus.
Travel: 85% plus travel is required to Tyson Foods locations
