Job Purpose/Summary:
This position provides organizational and administrative support to the Chief Executive Officer (President & CEO) as well as coordination of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) of Tyson Foods; communicating and engaging with Tyson leadership, Board of Directors, and various external stakeholders and contacts. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Independently manages the office of the Chief Executive Officer, requiring evaluation and decision making for conflicting priorities and requests related to focus of the CEO’s schedule and efforts. Represents the CEO’s interests and acts on his behalf with company executives and company team members related to Board of Director activities, shareholder events, and public engagements involving the CEO. Additional Responsibilities: Manages and ensures policy/procedure compliance on behalf on the CEO; anticipates CEO needs; manages documentation on behalf of the office of the CEO, directly completing data analysis and reporting on behalf of the CEO; recommends course of action to the CEO based on research directed or done; prioritizes all communication for the office of the CEO; personally, addresses inquiries on the CEO’s behalf. Manages the company calendar, including directing and coordinating activities of other executive offices and key departments. Manages the CEO’s budget, expenses, security, travel, staff meetings, and schedule. Acts as a liaison for the CEO with other departments and outside agencies, including high-level staff such as, presidents, senior vice presidents and chiefs. Handles confidential, routine, and non-routine information and communicates policies when necessary.Works proactively, independently and within a team on special nonrecurring and ongoing projects. Acts as project manager for special projects, at the request of the CEO or the Office of the CEO, which may include: planning and coordinating multiple presentations, disseminating information, organizing work and complying with deadlines and priorities. Creates and designs general correspondences, memos, charts, tables, graphs, business plans, etc. Proofreads CEO communications for quality, tone, and integrity. This person must be familiar with current technologies, industry/regulatory/political trends to best advise CEO or make decisions and act on the CEO’s behalf.

Requirements:
Education: High school diploma;BS or BA preferred
Experience: 5 to 7 years of related experience and/or training in a business environment, preferably corporate
Computer Skills: Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite programs to include Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Special Skills:Must have proven track record of developing and managing sensitive relationships and demonstrated excellence in exercising discretion and making decisions related to critical relationships for the company and the CEO. This position requires a high level of discretion and confidentiality and the ability to work independently under general instructions and in a timely manner; must be detail-oriented; have strong analytical skills; must exercise sound judgment, flexibility, initiative and commitment. Internal policies knowledge is highly desirable as well as the ability to build and maintain relationships.
