Career Description

This position is responsible for the transport and delivery of freight on time in a professional manner by driving diesel-powered tractor trailer combinations short and long distances, while complying with Department of Transportation rules and regulation


The Feed Haul Driver will pick up a truck with a loaded trailer and obtain a feed ticket from the dispatcher which will provide instructions on the farm to make the delivery to. Once on the farm the driver will back the feed truck up to the grain bin and push a button to swing the auger around to the bin. The Feed Haul Driver will then get out of the truck and open the lid to the grain bin and activate the floor auger to unload the specified amount of feed. Once unloaded the Feed Haul Driver will deactivate the auger and close the grain lid, get in the truck and move the overhead auger back into position and proceed to the next stop. If entire load is emptied the driver must return to the mill and drive truck into the loading area, open the compartments on his truck by pushing a button and once loaded proceed inside for feed ticket. Applicant must be at least 21 years of age and have at least one year of driving experience and must have a valid Class A CDL. Must have a clear satisfactory CDL record and meet all Tyson and DOT driving specifications. Must lift 40 lbs. occasionally and be able to work in and be exposed to outside temperatures and environment. Must have the ability to sit for 8 to 10 hours a day. Ability to grasp, grip, twist, pull, bend and stoop occasionally. Must be able to work flexible hours and complete the required log book. Must be able to pass DOT requirements for physical and drug screen. Work Schedule Thursday through Sunday
