Career Description

This position is responsible for ensuring all materials are transported and or unloaded in a timely manner while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.


Reads the production or shipping schedule and process sheet at start of shift, operates forklift or pallet jack to stock or pull materials, records all transactions for inventory tracking including information such as lbs., boxes, dates, suppliers, lot numbers and locations. Assists in physical inventories, maintains clean work area, keeps boxes free of debris, rotates materials by age, temperature or other specified criteria, follows TYSON USDA safety and sanitation rules. Wears appropriate personal protective equipment, reports injuries and unsafe conditions, performs other duties as required or assigned.


Requires one year of experience in coolers and dry rooms the ability to give, take and interpret verbal and written instructions, reports, records and other documents, sufficient mathematical ability to perform calculations up to multiplication and division, sufficient interpersonal skill to maintain good working relationships. Physical ability to lift up to 90 lbs. 15% of the time and work in variations of heat, wet and cold (80% of the time spent in temperatures 20-50 below 0 F) licensed to operate forklift and pallet jack. Must have 3 consecutive months work history within the past 12 months.
