SUMMARY: This position is responsible for developing, initiating, leading and driving plant designs, constructions and maintenance of equipment in an industrial bakery. This person will be capable of providing effective project managementfrom project inception through construction and installation. On assigned projects, the position shall organize the design resources, supervise the design efforts, generate specifications, coordinate procurement and achieve the company's object ives regarding capacity, operability, economics and timelines. This person will also be involved in the selection of approved contractors, and will decide which systems are best suited for a specific application and how they are to beinstalled as well as consult with accounting personnel relative to project accounting procedures and project costs. This person will also interact and coordinate project activities with all levels of Operations and work directly with Operations Management and FSQA to meet operational improvements, customer and government requirements. REQUIREMENTS: Education: B.S. in Plant, Industrial, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent engineering experience. Experience: Minimum of 5 years applicable Food Manufacturing engineering experience. Computer Skills: Spread sheets, database, email, word processing, and scheduling programs. Special Skills: Working knowledge of applicable codes that pertain to development of Mechanical Engineering standards; coordinate project design work including planning, design calculations, flow sheets, Mass Balance review and validation, mechanical layouts, piping diagrams, electrical, insulation, etc. Travel: 1-5 trips per year.
