Career Description

This position is responsible for entry level non-skilled general labor while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.


This position could work in any department of the Hides facility. These positions require the ability to frequently push, pull, carry, and lift up to 40 pounds. Work is performed in extreme hot, wet environment. The position requires use of hands and arms above shoulder level and standing 8-10 hours a day. Positions will retrieve cured cow hides from a brine tank and hang them. Position will also require folding, lifting, carrying, and palletizing hides. The position may involve the use of powered equipment as well as use of knives. The Team Member must be willing to complete all required training for the job and perform any other duties as assigned.


Must be able to perform position tasks. In addition, must be available to work all shifts, including weekends, and available for overtime. All job offers are based on the conditions that the candidate can provide proof of authorization to work legally in the United States and pass a urinalysis screening which is part of the post-offer health assessment. Only candidates from the following counties will be considered Franklin, Benton, Walla Walla, Yakima, Grant, Adams and Umatilla.
