SUMMARY:
This individual will be responsible for providing strategic thought leadership on deli innovation to translate the customer needs into actionable plans to drive multiple teams including Shopper Insights, Deli Marketing, Food Service, and the BU to bring holistic innovation solutions to WM. The incumbent will be responsible for quickly identifying current products and capabilities to lever, delivering WM innovation in 3-5 months. They will work directly with the Delirepresentatives on both Poultry and Prepared to develop costing/ capacity and with the Marketing/ Sales teams to develop best in class activation plans to include back of house training. The role will work with the Shopper Insight Team todevelop insights on shoppers and be responsible for developing key sell stories to link the insights, capabilities, and marketing elements to support each innovation. They will also be responsible for strategically analyzing the overall business and quickly responding to customer requests in order to further customize and drive efficiencies.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBLITIES:
  • The objective of the role is three-fold: Bring together all the experts from Deli Marketing, Food Service (Poultry and Prepared), R&D, Sales, and the BU (Poultry and Prepared) to lead the development of products and show one face to the customer for all Deli Innovations
  • Deliver leadership on sustaining innovation - rethinking our food service portfolio to address the immediate needs of Walmart hot deli
  • Work with Walmart Merchants, Private Brands, and Chefs along with the Tyson Walmart team to create innovative solutions that will drive transformational change and growth in the Walmart Deli

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree required
  • Experience: 7+ years of relevant experience resulting in strong sales knowledge and customer relationship experience, Foodservice experience, product management or commercialization experience is a plus.
  • Computer Skills: Must have knowledge of how the systems work across Tyson including Poultry, Prepared, and Food Service with an ability to navigate internal systems and teams.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Special Skills: The person must be sales savvy and have experience with connecting with buyers to create custom solutions that fill the needs of the customer and consumer. Must have a proven track record of successfully collaborating with multiple cross-functional points of contact. They must have knowledge of current Tyson products and capabilities across Prepared and Food Service.
