Career Description

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.


Tasks

This position is responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production. The position requires that you be able to set up, adjust, and break down production line machinery. This position also requires trouble shooting of various mechanical issues in an industrial setting. This position requires the use of Tyson SAP software to make work orders and fill out daily documentation that is required in the system. This position is also required to fill out various log sheets. This position is required to follow all Tyson safety rules. This position is required complete Lock Out Tag Out and Confined Space Training. This position will be exposed on a routine basis to warm temperatures ranging from 65-90 degrees, wet and or humid conditions, slippery floors in some areas, and concrete floors. This position also may be exposed to air borne particles, and a noise level loud enough to require hearing protection. This position will require walking, bending, standing, and lifting up to 50lbs on a frequent basis. This position will work some weekends and most holidays and must be able to work on your feet for a period of 12 hours. Must be willing to complete all required training, both hands on and computer based,


Requirements

Must have a minimum of 2 years of mechanic work experience in industrial manufacturing or be a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program. Preferred experience with food processing packaging equipment, electrical mechanical controls, welding, motor controls, PLC, hydraulics, pneumatics and combustion systems. Must have 1 year continuous work history with a single employer in the past 3 years to be considered. Must not have been terminated from a previous employer for attendance or job abandonment. Must not have been employed by Tyson Foods in the last 3 years to be eligible for hire. Must be available to work overtime and weekends.
