Summary: This position is responsible for assisting the Supervisor in coordination of the daily responsibilities of the department by insuring the Supervisor’s instructions are communicated to the team members and carried out timely and correctly. This position is also responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. This position is responsible for providing guidance and ensuring compliance with management directives to a team of maintenance team members on a daily basis. This position is responsible to assist, train and encourage all maintenance team members. This position is responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production. The position requires that you be able to set up, adjust, and break down production line machinery. This position also requires trouble shooting of various mechanical issues in an industrial setting. This position requires the use of Tyson software to make work orders and fill out daily documentation that is required in the system. This position is also required to fill out various log sheets and assist supervisor in completing essential paperwork. This position is required to follow all Tyson safety rules and to complete Lock Out/Tag Out Training. This position will be exposed on a routine basis of warm temperatures ranging from 65-90 degrees, wet and/or humid conditions, slippery floors in some areas, and concrete floors. This position also may be exposed to air borne particles, and a noise level loud enough to require hearing protection. This position will require walking, bending, standing, and lifting up to 50lbs on a frequent basis. This position will work some weekends and most holidays and must be able to work on your feet for a period of 12 hours. Must be willing to complete all required training, both hands on and computer based, as required for the job.

Requirements: Must have a minimum of 2 years of mechanic work experience in industrial manufacturing or be a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program. Preferred experience with food processing & packaging equipment, electrical/mechanical controls, welding, motor controls, PLC, hydraulics, pneumatics and combustion systems. Must have 1 year continuous work history with a single employer in the past 3 years to be considered. Must not have been terminated from a previous employer for attendance or job abandonment. Must not have been employed by Tyson Foods in the last 3 years to be eligible for hire. Must be available to work overtime and weekends.
