Career Description

This is an internship position responsible for assisting in troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.


Tasks

Summary The position holder will assist the Plant Operations teams in troubleshooting, process improvement activities, and other duties as assigned in order to improve efficiencies, quality, profitability and or competitiveness. They will also gain exposure to operation support departments such as Accounting, Safety, Quality Assurance and Human Resources, etc. as well as become familiar with the various parts of the production process. Our Interns are expected to contribute to our success through innovative ideas and value creation.


Requirements

Education Actively enrolled in high school, community college, or vocational technical apprenticeship program. Experience Previous work experience of any kind is preferred. Communication Skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Computer Skills Basic computer skills. Special Skills A successful candidate for an Intern position should possess the following Be a motivated self-starter who has the desire to learn from others ability to work independently or as part of a team strong problem solving skills time management and multitasking abilities and strong interpersonal skills. Position Specific Responsibilities This is a part-time position (could work 40 hours during summer if available) and only local candidates will be considered.
