SUMMARY: This position may be responsible for any of the following duties: planning and supervising the execution of cost effective and timely maintenance necessary for the operation of all equipment. This includes directing, coordinating,and supporting maintenance personnel, working with contractors, vendors, or company engineering in the modification or installation of equipment, and troubleshooting and resolving new and/or different technical problems regarding equipment. Other responsibilities include maintaining relevant records and ensuring OSHA standards and programs are implemented, instructing in the use of personal protective equipment, and implementing new ways of improving ergonomics within the facility. This position is also responsible for coordinating Team Member schedules and handling clock reports and attendance records, holding monthly safety meetings, and performing other responsibilities as assigned. REQUIREMENTS: Education:Education beyond high school, including special training, vocational school, and/or college courses. Experience: 3 plus years' experience with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems required. Food industry experience, preferred. Computer Skills: Basic computer skills. Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to have sufficient mobility, strength, flexibility, hearing and sight to access all job relevant areas and perform routine activities as necessary to deliver required results. Frequent pushing/pulling, bending/stooping, and lifting (up to 50 lbs.) necessary. Must be able to wear all proper and required personal protective equipment as required; this includes, but not limited to: hair net, safety shoes, safety glasses, safety gloves, goggles, and aprons. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written Supervisory: This position is responsible for supervising a group of personnel who perform somewhat identical and related tasks or activities. Travel: 1 to 5 trips per year.
