Career Description

In addition to the duties listed below, this position will also serve as the supervisor for the Electrical & Automation technician positions.
Responsible for meeting goals in the areas of safety, downtime, budget & overtime.
Completing work orders, and performing preventative maintenance of production & electrical equipment and computer systems throughout the facility.
May also be assigned to supervise designated maintenance/production crew(s), which will include scheduling & completion of production orders also ensures tracking of budgets & product quality
Responsible for logs & record keeping of Safety for maintenance department, as well as any additional assignments deemed appropriate by management.

Education: High School diploma, GED, vocational school training or equivalent
Experience: 1+ year(s) in the meat processing industry, specifically pork processing. Knowledge of electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics & plumbing needed; as well as a basic knowledge of refrigeration, broilers & engine room(s). Preference will be given to candidates with previous supervisory experience, as well as advanced experience working with electrical trouble-shooting, programming, and PLC systems.
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook.
Communication Skills: Great interpersonal communication skills, both written & verbal
Travel: Minimal

Excellent attendance = 5 points or less at time of application.
Good Disciplinary record = no written warnings + suspension within the last 12 months.
Excellent safety record = no safety violations (at written warning or above) within the last 12 months.
