Career Description

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.


Tasks

This General Mechanic position could work in any department of this beef processing facility. Standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, and reaching are required in all areas and must be able to climb up down stairs and ladders. Lifting is required in many areas (weight depends upon area). These positions work in a cold, damp or hot and humid environment and these areas have slippery walking surfaces. Must be mechanically inclined. Welding experience preferred.


Requirements

Maintenance crews work 6-7 days per week, with 2-3 days off. Scheduling can include some major holidays.
