This position is responsible for the overall customer and business development for the Tyson Innovation Lab.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Achieving sales volume and financial objectives; developing and maintaining strong and effective customer relationships
  • Being aligned with the team's plan and executing the team’s initiatives and strategies
  • Being a champion for upholding, growing and stewarding Tyson culture and our core values
  • Providing effective, timely, and concise communication throughout the internal and external organization as it pertains to the Tyson Innovation Lab business and its customers
  • Managing trade funds to stay within assigned budgets; properly planning expenses and staying within assigned travel and entertainment budgets
  • Ensuring the timely resolution of financial and operation reconciliation - both Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable / deduction management, logistic and warehouse management as well as timely /accurate administrative duties
  • Keeping management informed of market conditions, competitive activity, and marketplace intelligence.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Education: Requires broad knowledge in a general professional or technical field normally acquired through four years of college resulting in a Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Experience: 5+ years of industry experience and/or 3+ years demonstrated experience adding value to early stage/high growth emerging brands (preferred). Prefer experience selling in conventional and specialty retail locations and food service.
  • Computer Skills: Requires advanced computer skills, spreadsheets, or creating queries, business plan development PowerPoint presentation development and Tyson Business System interaction
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Special Skills: Problem solver, and offers very creative and technical solutions to difficult problems
  • Supervisory: No direct reports. Required to work with internal teams such as Sales Planning, Category Management, Customer Service, Returns and Allowances, Logistics, Finance
  • Ability to multitask + work agile + thick skin in the start-up environment
  • Travel: ability to travel up to 50% of the time (within the U.S.)
