Career Description

This position is responsible for entry level non-skilled general labor while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.


Tasks

This position is responsible for performing machine checks that are related to the functioning of the hatchers and incubators. The team member will then record the checks into the computerized plant-view system. The hatchery worker will perform some janitorial duties around the facility as well as cleaning chick boxes and truck. Operates a pallet jack to unload egg truck.


Requirements

Willingness to work in a very hot and dusty environment. Willingness to work in wet and slippery floors when performing clean up. Must be able to work on a computer and enter data into the plant view system. Work schedule is Friday night thru Sunday night with time off early Saturday. Must be able to articulate clearly verbally and in written format. Willingness to get Power Industrial Truck certification to operate the pallet jack. Hatchery experience is preferred but willing to train a qualified candidate. Candidates that will be considered will be from the Lancaster, York, Reading, Berks and Chester county areas only.
