SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for maintaining parts in inventory tracking system; performing usage analysis; keeping parts room clean and orderly; places orders for parts following established procedures; dispensing parts and tools to maintenance personnel as needed; identifying and monitoring parts flow by parts numbers; releasing purchase requisitions for approval; receiving all maintenance parts; signing vendor tickets; filling out receiving reports for accounts payable; delivering parts to maintenance personnel for a particular job; stocking inventory in parts room and printing documentation on inventory replenishment. Performs data entry for work orders and PMs. Other duties include knowledge of parts/tools used in plant; unload supply trucks, prioritizing daily work with minimum supervision and other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Education: High school graduate or equivalent.

Experience: 1-year previous related experience working with parts and tools ordering; inventory and purchasing. SAP experience is preferred.

Computer Skills: Knowledge of a computerized maintenance management system that includes receiving and accounts payable; competent in Windows-based software, such as Microsoft Excel and Word.

Communication Skills: Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing with all team members; bilingual preferred.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Special Skills: Knowledge, skills, and abilities to do intermediate math and accounting; perform tasks with a high degree of accuracy; ability to prioritize and multi-task; work without supervision; be detail oriented; have good attendance; ability to function effectively in a team environment and interact productively with all levels of management and operations/maintenance.
