Career Description

The Trade Optimization Analyst is a CPG sales support role, responsible for measuring and improving the ROI of Tyson's trade promotion spending at key grocery retailers through strategic insights on pricing and promotions.

She/he will work in Tyson's Post-Event Analysis Tool to continue to build a promotional event library, as well as populating and distributing reporting. She/he will proactively share findings with internal partners in sales, marketing, and sales planning.

Other responsibilities include: Analyze and validate internal/third-party data to assess promotion performance and understand benefits. Assist in project work with field sales teams to improve pricing and promotion plans and forecast results. Supply brand teams with insights to inform pricing and promotion decisions.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Natural inquisitiveness to exploring data and looking for insights to drive business decisions. Very good with communicating insights to diverse audiences. Skilled in displaying quantitative information in visual formats (Excel, PowerPoint). Excellent organizational and communication skills. Excellent planning and project management skills. Strong data manipulation skills. Business acumen. Experience with IRI and/or Nielsen data is a plus.

EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree required.

EXPERIENCE: 1-3 years of work experience in Sales Finance, Business Development, Category Management, Sales, or Revenue Management. CPG experience is a plus.

COMPUTER SKILLS: Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills required.
