Summary: As a contributing team member, this position will report directly into the VP, C-Store Channel. The position will have regular interactions with the VP and Sales Account Managers while focused primarily on strategic convenience distributors (McLane, Artic Cascade and Coremark) with 2 headquarters and 50+ regional touchpoints. This person will be accountable for negotiating contracts and prioritizing efforts against the strategic plan with minimal direction. This position is expected to work cross functionally with the prepared and poultry business units, revenue management, customer service, supply chain and legal to protect and defend the core business, create a competitive advantage, while attaining product mix, volume and dollar sales targets for our total Tyson Convenience Channel portfolio.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and nurture professional relationships with Key Convenience distributors. Work directly with regional SAM's to increase product knowledge and implement sales strategies. Manage all strategic initiatives; maintain and further develop business relationships with the distributors leadership teams to achieve business objectives. Work with SAM's, business units and trade teams to deliver and manage against sales plans by managing marketing programs (including food shows), expense management, deduction resolution, category management, and reviews with customers. Enforce and manage. Direct sales support at trade shows and distributor sales meetings. Must be able to deliver against your volume, goals, and executive price strategies within the market place, manage spend associated with the volume and manage the mix of product sold.


Experience: Minimum 7 years outside sales experience (Food Service, Food Service Manufacturing or Distributor Sales)

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Special Skills: Strategic thinking, negotiation skills, understanding of motivational leadership skills, conflict resolution skills.

Computer Skills: Experience with Microsoft Office products.

Travel: 30 - 50%
