SUMMARY: This position is responsible for coordinating with customers to schedule appointments on outbound domestic and international truck freight that consist of one or more stops, to deliver products in the most cost and time effective manner, using email, phone, fax and web-based applications; maintaining customers' scheduling contact information, which include: phone numbers, specific contacts, receiving hours of operation, required scheduling processes; communicating with sales and customer service teams, Tyson warehouses and shipping facilities, company fleet, and the outside Transportation departments; assisting in resolving scheduling and delivery issues with customers, and other duties as assigned. This position must be able to work within a cross- functional team to ensure the needs of both internal and external customers are met, while adhering to government (Department of Transportation) standards and regulations; be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment to meet daily deadlines, while maintaining a high level of accuracy. This position will need to be able to work independently to make some decisions with regards to the routing and scheduling of shipments.

REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION: High School diploma or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE: 1+ years of office/clerical experience preferred.

COMPUTER SKILLS: Basic computer skills, which include 10-key, keyboarding, word processing, spreadsheets, and creating basic queries.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Strong, professional written and verbal communication skills.
