SUMMARY: This position requires a high proficiency in leadership, problem solving, and ability to influence others. Responsible for the personnel administration of IT resources both internal and external - interview, hire and train employees, plan, assign and direct work, appraise performance, reward and discipline employees for performance, address complaints and resolve problems. The Senior Manager will plan, coordinate, direct, and design operational activities of specific IT functional teams as well as provide direction and support for IT solutions that enhance mission-critical business operations. The Senior Manager will work closely with technology groups and upper management to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support cost-effective solutions for all aspects of the organization. Responsible for analyzing the needs of customers and establishing priorities for system design and implementation. Understand and ensure compliance to IS standards and methodology. Recommend and develop plans for: solutions development and operations, hardware, software and equipment purchases, budget, and staffing. Negotiate and contract with consultants, technical personnel and vendors for services and products. Prepare reports and make formal and informal presentations to Tyson executive management. Must provide direction to vendors and stay current on the latest technologies of the systems supported by the organization to assist in the future planning of necessary IT initiatives. Responsible for overall quality of solutions supporting the business.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.

Experience: 8+ years of progressive experience in Information Technology or related area.

Required Skills: Proven negotiation and conflict resolution skills with the ability to drive initiatives through multiple levels of business and IT. Possess an advanced level emotional intelligence skills and awareness with the ability to provide consistent leadership and direction. Proven ability to manage change and diversity. Proven ability to assess situations and make sound decisions. Proven ability to organize and deliver information appropriately to audiences at all levels within the company. Must have a solid understanding of and business acumen in area of support.

Preferred Skills: Ability to organize, execute, and lead cloud analytic transformation projects. This includes leading large teams through software migration projects that reengineer monolithic on-premise analytic processes into cloud-native analytic pipelines that take full advantage of cloud scale, cost optimization, and modern architecture development and deployment principles. Proficiency with Cloud technologies and concepts, Real-time analytics. Experience migrating traditional architectures to next-gen data-analytic technology solutions.

Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Travel: Some travel may be required. Amount of travel will be determined by individual project requirements.
