Responsible for management of multiple third-party manufacturing facilities. This individual need to have a general management mindset and goes above and beyond to get the job done. Deep understanding in the manufacturing processes at these Co-Mans and understands how production performance ties to the financials & cost models. Accountable for COGS in the P&L, innovation feasibility and commercialization of new products. Responsible for all aspects of the day to day management of the co-manufacturing supply base, including the management of new product launches, sourcing/exiting co-mans & suppliers, creating contracts for all new/existing co-manufacturers, assisting and developing annual category plans, establishing annual budgets, resolving capacity constraint areas, delivering year over year cost saving goals, establishing KPI metrics at critical co-manufacturers, developing category strategies and monitoring the financials at each co-manufacturer and component suppliers. Strong analytics and project management skills are a must in this role which requires excellent communication and leadership skills.

  • Third party contract development, negotiation & execution, knowledge of Food Safety and Quality Assurance standards with adherence to USDA and FDA guidelines
  • Third party performance and P&L management
  • Understand all aspects of contract manufacturers’ production results & financials
  • Collaborate with production schedulers to provide accurate supply & capacity outlook while taking crewing of production lines & capabilities into consideration
  • Establish Key Performance Indicators to track third party performance
  • Sourcing and commercializing innovation products at third party manufacturing facilities
  • Industry knowledge of food processing landscape with strategic relationships across major categories
  • Ability to influence decision and operate in a matrix environment

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 8 years’ work experience. 4 (+) years in contract manufacturing or related field required. This position requires that candidates have food manufacturing experience.
  • Requires both strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient with MS Office; SAP preferred
  • CPG experience in finance analysis with significant cross functional project management, ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment & communicate at a high level across function and must be a quick study, proven ability to manage change, ability to work in a matrix environment and strong decision maker
  • Demonstrates leadership in one or more of the following areas: Procurement, supply chain, operations, engineering, finance or R&D
  • Travel 25% of the time
