SUMMARY: This position's primary responsibility is to architect, develop, oversee and provide expert technical direction for the building of native mobile applications and websites, and their integration into business processes that drive value for Tyson Foods. This individual's principal goals are to develop, integrate, and manage scalable mobile platforms that are enterprise ready. The principal will plan and provide direction and support for IT solutions that enhance mission-critical business operations. This position will work closely with decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective solutions for all aspects of the organization's mobile initiatives. This person will also help to define and implement IT policies, standards, procedures, and best practices in mobility. Provide technical direction and recommendations to team members and IS management around architecture, implementation, and support of mobile solutions. Educate fellow team members on best practices, theory, and practical application of mobile computing. Recommend and develop plans for mobile development and operations; hardware, software and equipment purchases. Negotiate with technical personnel and customers for services, products and direction. Review and advise groups in the selection, usage and maintenance of mobile solutions. Provide direction to the vendors and stay current on the latest technologies of the systems supported by the organization to assist in the future planning of necessary IT initiatives; other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or other technical area. Equivalent work experience may be acceptable.

Experience: 6+ years of experience in Information Systems or related area with proven experience mobile application development.

Computer Skills: Developer/Sysadmin-level understanding of mobile OS, Networking.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience communicating technical information to non-technical team members.

Special Skills: iOS mobile development, Objective C, Swift, iOS Core services, AWS services. Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to backend services. Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications. Experience developing for both phones and tablets. Experience with Agile teams in a DevOps environment utilizing CICD methodology. Containers. Knowledge of the Three Ways of DevOps. It's critical that the candidate needs to not only have theoretical knowledge of these subjects but needs to have proven skills and expertise wielding the tools and prior experience with having implemented and maintained multiple successful solutions in production that can be described in technical detail. Experience utilizing mobile hardware platforms sensors, imaging, remote processing capabilities. Experience with Augmented Reality is a plus. Cross platform (iOS + Android) and full stack (Mobile + Web + Backend) experience a plus.
