Career Description

To support the Strategic Pricing Team initiatives related to corporate, category and business strategies. Involves the creation of pricing strategies founded on brand roles within the business unit portfolios. Strategies involve recommendations for base and promotional pricing as well as the support and maintenance of pricing activations.
Understand and apply price elasticities and promotional lift factors effectively.
Conduct database analysis around all aspects of pricing such as estimating volume impacts due to changes in price, promotions, competitive response etc.
Integrate other internal and external data to drive better understanding on decisions at the business level. Build results and findings in PowerPoint and other effective means of communication.

Other responsibilities include:
Provides analytical support to the Strategic Pricing Team, Customer Marketing and Sales Strategy teams through participation in internal and external initiatives. Tracks execution and competitive activity. Team player and contributor on departmental projects and initiatives. Evolves profile as a thought leader amongst peer team in the pricing and revenue management space.

Excellent analytical and problem solving skills. Very good with displaying quantitative information in Excel charts, PowerPoint presentations and other forms visual enhancements to the data. Natural inquisitiveness to exploring the data, mining the data and looking for insights to drive business decisions. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Excellent planning and project management skills. Strong Excel and data manipulation skills. Business acumen.

EDUCATION:Bachelor's Degree required; MBA or master's degree in quantitative field preferred.

EXPERIENCE: Required: 3+ years relevant experience in pricing, customer/trade marketing, sales, marketing & sales analytics, or category management in the CPG industry. Syndicated Data experience - IRI, AC Nielsen, etc. Preferred: prior modeling and statistical analysis experience.

COMPUTER SKILLS: Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Excellent communication and presentation skills

SPECIAL SKILLS (if applicable): Modelling and data mining
