Career Description

SUMMRY: This position will be working closely with the sanitation clean-up crew(s) in coordinating chain cleaning & equipment repairs; as well as supervising designated maintenance crews, ensuring tracking of budget, and product quality. This position will also be in charge of maintenance for overhead chains, lubrication, tracking chain stretch, equipment PM's, oil sampling, and keep current records on equipment, and notifying upper management of upcoming repairs. Other responsibilities include managing safety, downtime, budget & overtime, completing work orders for preventative maintenance, developing an upcoming yearly list of required overhauls on equipment, and any other duties as assigned by management.
REQUIREMENTS: Education: High School diploma, GED, vocational school training or equivalent. Experience: 1+ year(s) in the meat processing industry, specifically in the pork industry; Knowledge of electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and plumbing needed as well as basic knowledge of refrigeration, boilers & engine room; Preference will be given to for previous supervisory experience. Computer Skills: Basic computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook. Communication Skills: Great interpersonal communication skills, both verbal & written. Travel: Minimal Special Skills: Must be able to work in both hot & cold temperatures, able to work with minimal supervision, have a positive attitude, be a team player, and maintain confidentiality of company information.
