Career Description

This position is responsible for assisting the Supervisor in coordination of the daily responsibilities of the department by insuring the Supervisor s instructions are communicated to the team members and carried out timely and correctly. This position will also monitor all equipment to insure it is working properly and notify the supervisor of any needed maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.


Directly monitors and follows up on scheduled work with all team members in the Bakery. Reviews production schedules for needs and accuracy. Ensures equipment availability and proper operation throughout the shift. Ensures correct usage of raw materials throughout the shift. Adheres to all Quality policies and food safety requirements. Ensures equipment and work area for proper sanitation, productions controls, etc. Ensures consistent product quality throughout the entire production process. Responsible for understanding, communicating training, and following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP s) during operations taking immediate action to address any deficiencies. Responsible for the training of all new team members in proper methods and procedures to perform their assigned job. Continues to develop and lead team members with on-going training and communication of any policy or process changes or other requirements. Ensures all equipment and work area is free of hazards. Initiates, facilitates, and follows up on all suggested safety improvements. Initiates, facilitates, and follows up on training of all safety procedures. High school diploma or equivalent is required. Minimum of 6 months of leadership experience managing people in a production environment with 1 employer.
