Career Description

Verifies incoming and outgoing raw materials and supplies that are transported to and from production. Follows all GMP's while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.


Responsible for verifying ingredient statements and product counts. Attention to detail is required to proofread labels. Use computer generated data to determine raw material requirements for production run. Issue raw materials to assigned lines. Return all unused raw materials to the appropriate areas to ensure an accurate inventory. Properly assign unit numbers and lot numbers back to the product. Ensure correct raw materials are going into product. Recognize and record data to maintain accurate records for a critical control point. Generate item lot number labels. Assign inedible and hold tickets as needed. Must be willing and able to work in extreme temperatures as low as -30 degrees. Must be willing and able to routinely lift up to 50 lbs. Must be willing and able to read and understand weight and temperature measurements. Miscellaneous administrative duties, including filing.


High school diploma or equivalent required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products. At least 6 months of previous auditing experience with 1 employer.
