Career Description

Position provides the direct financial business partner support for the supply chain manufacturing organization. Responsible for month end closing, forecasting, AOP preparation, financial analysis for capital expenditure requests (CER’s),Continuous Improvement savings projects, and various analytical reports for use internally and externally. Responsible for the integrity and compliance testing of company internal controls. Works directly with Brand and Customer Finance to provide product costing analysis and supports proforma RFP requests. Indirect responsibility for Plant Controllers in several field locations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provides timely and accurate finance and management analysis relating to business results. Builds and maintains effective working relationships with various levels in the organization. Works with business partners to identify potential business risk. Ability to interpret capacity planning analysis. Ability to analyze actual usage of bill of materials and related material and labor variances. Ability to perform product profitability analysis. Accurately forecasts future financials and optimizes management's decision making capabilities. Provides accurate, timely and ongoing insights to the plan (AOP, SP, etc.), and reports deviations to management. Implements tools to record and monitor business commitments. Analyzes, initiates and supports the execution of critical business process improvements. Utilizes KPI measurement tools to support improvement in individual/group performance. Establishes and agrees upon measurable, stretch goals with employees, and clearly links goals with incentive systems. Direct financial support of the Supply Chain organization Direct activities in maintaining the cost accounting and financial analysis systems, both formal and informal. Ensure the accuracy of: product costs which include the base material, ingredient, packaging, labor, and overhead components; the cost of production; and the monthly manufacturing variances

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CMA, MBA and/or CPA would be a plus Finance and/or Cost Accounting experience; preferably in the food industry Supervisory experience preferably in a manufacturing environment Knowledgeable in the areas of GAAP, Cost Accounting, Fixed Assets, General Ledger Accounting, Payroll, and SOX Understand the dynamics of procurement, production and finished good delivery, the interdependencies of these activities and how they impact profitability Requires knowledge of cost accounting practices and theories Strong leadership skills Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Ability to travel to field locations (approx. one trip a month) Knowledge and experience with SAP a plus Strong PC skills (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint).
