SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for providing analytical support to enable decision making by the Business Unit General Managers, Sales Management, Production Planners, Sr. Analysts, and Plant Operations. These decisions will involvepreparing capacity and raw material analysis, Inventory analysis, and forward production plans to ensure that Business Unit Customer Service and Inventory Target goals are met. This position will be empowered to make timely decisions regarding the product mix within the specific planning area. This position will play a leadership role in the Business Unit Demand Planning process and will support the Supply Side of Sales and Operations Planning.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: 4 year college degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience: 6+ years of experience primarily in Poultry Industry/Meat Industry.

Computer Skills: Strong desktop computer skills and the ability to learn software (PPS, RSS, Manugistics, Cognos). Advanced ability to use tools such as Excel and Access to generate spreadsheets and/or templates for use by other team members.

Communication Skills: The ideal candidate must be highly communicative; with the ability to take a leadership position and drive cross functional teams to timely and efficient decisions. Must be able to work cross functionally to deliver timely production solutions under pressure. When called for, must alsobe able to quickly make independent decisions and then fact fully back up decisions and actions. Interaction with Senior VPs, Sales, Marketing, and Product Managers is expected on a daily basis.

Travel: 8 - 10 domestic trips per year. Initial road tour of plants will be required.

Supervisory Responsibility: No direct supervisory, but significant leadership role among Sr. Analysts, Production Planners, Plant Schedulers, and other support staff.

Special Skills: Strong Problemsolving skills. Experience in breaking down complex problems and solving them in an action oriented environment. Must be analytical, with the ability to quickly internalize plant and raw material capacities and communicate the supply/demand balance positions. Above average communication skills required. Ideal candidate must be a self starter, with the ability to work autonomously while keeping Planning team informed of Business Unit sales initiatives.

Job Requirements

SAP experience preferred.
