Career Description

This position is responsible for operating machinery to ensure the continuous flow of product thru the production process. Responsible for monitoring and adjusting machine settings as needed and notifying supervisor if machines should require maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.


Set up and tear down of Risco Stuffer, Tipper-tie, pipes, valve stations, heaters, and equipment necessary to produce product in the pepperoni grind room. Must be capable of learning how to operate and run all equipment essential to producing product in the pepperoni grind room. Will be responsible for ensuring that all sticks meet diameter and weight requirements, that clips are secure, that no air is being stuffed into casing, and all other checks and duties of production are being followed. Performs routine repetitive tasks, bending, pulling and lifting from 30 to 60 pounds constantly. Frequently stand and walk up to mile during the shift, work in temperatures of 30 to 40 degrees. Observes Tyson USDA safety and sanitation rules, utilizes proper lifting techniques to avoid injury to themselves and others, wears appropriate personal protective equipment, operates pallet jack and performs other duties as required or assigned.


Requires ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions. Certified to operate material handling equipment such as pallet jack preferred. Must have 3 consecutive months work history with in the past 12 months.
