SUMMARY: The Production Supervisor utilizes machinery, materials and manpower available to complete the daily production build schedule. All established quality standards will be met as well as creating and maintaining a safe work environment. At any given time, the Production Supervisor will be responsible for leading areas in operations, materials or warehousing depending on assignment. This position reports to the Value Stream Manager and is significant to the evolution and sustenance of a best in class lean operations culture within a state of the art, highly automated meat slicing facility in Kansas City, KS. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree preferred, preferably in business, engineering, meat science or related field. If No degree, prior front line supervisory experience, 3-5 years preferably in a food manufacturing environment. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Lean principles. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to be resourceful, demonstrate business acumen, creative thinking skills and be able to act as a decision maker. Results oriented. Excellent planning and organizational skills. Solid math and comprehension skills Demonstrated ability to communicate with all levels of management Able to repeatedly manually stack 40lb. boxes to proper pallet height. Be able to bend, twist and stand for long periods of time. Education: Bachelors Degree preferred; HS Diploma with 3-5 years of food manufacturing experience. Experience: 3-5 years Food Manufacturing Computer Skills: Intermediate to Advanced in , Kronos, SAP, Microsoft Office Communication Skills: Excellent Special Skills: SAP, Kronos, Lean Principles Supervisory: Prior supervisor experience required with 3-5 years Travel: 0-5% REPORTS TO: Senior Production Manager
