SUMMARY: This position is responsible for maintaining high production, quality, and yields while ensuring the safest working environment possible. Position requires an essential understanding and control of the production process, accuraterecording keeping, and general line maintenance and staffing. Specific responsibilities include checking daily production orders to ensure fulfillment of customer orders; ensuring every position is filled before start-up of production; facilitate ergonomics in department; and ensuring all machinery is performing to the highest standard possible. Other responsibilities include ensuring all workstations have passed USDA inspection; promoting safety on a daily basis as well asthrough weekly safety meetings; Ensure accurate shipments, rotation of inventory, and proper coding of products; Additionally, knowing and communicating company policies and providing encouragement to team members in order to build the bestteam possible. Other duties include overseeing various processing operations and working with other supervisors in solving problems; keeping records of reworked or returned product; providing continuous education on the importance of quality; and performing other responsibilities as needed. REQUIREMENTS: Education: High school diploma or equivalent, Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience: 2 years production experience or equivalent preferred; familiar with USDA and HACCP policies and procedures. Computer Skills: Basic computer skills, for example -checking electronic mail, entering data into document templates, or creating simple queries. Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills. Strong communication skills to perform the human relations functions such as training and retaining team members Special Skills: Display sound judgment, leadership and organization skills; good problem solving abilities; good attendance and safety record. Supervisory: This position is responsible for supervising a group of personnel who perform somewhat identical and related tasks or activities. Travel: 0-2 times per year.
