Career Description

This position is responsible for performing a wide variety of skilled and semi-skilled building maintenance and repairs, and landscaping tasks, while maintaining a safe work environment, and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.


Tasks

All preventive maintenance and repairs, including lubrication, adjustment, rebuilding, scheduled service, cleaning, and assisting operators in the efficient operation of plant equipment. Check and maintain proper temperatures throughout the plant. Monitor and maintain temperatures and pressures in the compressor and boiler room. Service and maintain all refrigeration and boiler room equipment. Service and maintain all treatment plant equipment. Service and maintain air compressors and associated equipment. Periodically required to maintain and inspect fire protection systems. General building maintenance doors, floors, walls, piping, lighting, roof. Identify parts and supplies needed to complete job tasks. Understands and can complete waste water treatment operations and tests. Lead equipment troubleshooting, process improvement, and new process project activities to ensure that effective solutions are reached. Perform equipment audits, modify PM schedules, and assist to draft equipment troubleshooting procedures in order to improve machine reliability and engineer effectiveness. Requirements

Experiences and knowledge of repairing servicing the following Crown Forklifts (Sit-down Stand-Up), Snorkel Lifts, Platform lifts Hydraulic Systems D C Current and D C Motors Electrical Schematics Battery Charging and Changing systems Maintaining and ordering Spare Parts Welding Fabrication Stick Mig Tig Pallet Wrappers Requirements (minimum requirements in order to be considered for the job) A minimum of 2 years of forklift or automotive repair experience. Has the training and ability to manipulate equipment programs and other electronic controls. Must be willing to be a part of the emergency response team. The team is required to wear a hazmat suit, facial respirator, etc. Basic computer skills. Required to climb ladders stairs. Must be available to work overtime, weekends and holidays. Able to pass a drug screen and post offer Health Assessment.
