Career Description

This position is responsible for moving pallets and products while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.


Assists in line set up prior to start-up, stocks line with packaging materials such as bags, boxes, strapping, tape, clips, etc., fills in for line worker as necessary, packs and palletizes cases of cooked food products, labels boxes as needed, notifies supervisor and or operation specialist if machinery not operating properly, keeps work area clean and observes Tyson USDA safety and sanitation rules, utilizes proper lifting techniques to avoid injury to themselves and others, wears appropriate personal protective equipment, operates pallet jack and performs other duties as required or assigned, monitor and control key product control points such as weight, size, temperature, etc.


Requires ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions, perform routine repetitive tasks, read weights and scales, physical abilities to vertically move product weighing up to 50 lbs. frequently lifting 50 to 75 pounds, walk up to 4 miles during the shift, sufficient near, far, color and depth perception vision to perform operations and work in temperatures of 30 40 degrees and be able to be certified to operate a pallet jack. Must have 3 consecutive months work history within the last 12 months.
